Hidetaka Dozono
Launched an online mail-order website self-taught in June 1996. In July 1997, joined the launch of "IPPIN!!" (now Ippin.com), a site aggregating flagship products from major Japanese internet shops, becoming an early member. Won the A-division award at the Nikkei Net Business EC Grand Prix 2000 in February 2000. By March 2000, monthly sales of his lighting specialty online store "Terukuni Denki" exceeded ¥20 million. Currently serves as Executive Vice President and Operations Director of Terukuni Denki Co., Ltd., specializing in topics such as internet utilization for small retailers, online sales promotion, effective customer service for online shops, and internet business management.

Hajime Nozaki
Hokkaido Food Meister. Agricultural-Commercial Collaboration Coordinator (Sapporo Chamber of Commerce certified). Born in Hokkaido. Spent one year as an exchange student in the United States during high school. Became fascinated by business when he helped with the Tokyo startup of Edelweiss Farm — a producer of ham and bacon using classical methods and long-term ice-temperature aging no longer practiced even in Germany. Aims to build communities where high-quality food, agriculture, and tourism attract visitors from around the world.

Kyosuke Yamauchi
Born in Minamisanriku, Miyagi in 1975. After graduating university, worked as a still photographer in Tokyo for 10 years. Returned home in 2005 and launched an EC site and mail-order business for the family fresh fish shop. Won the 13th Japan Online Shopping Grand Prize and 10th OSMC Best Practitioner Award. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, founded "Miyagi EC," a membership-based EC study group in Miyagi Prefecture, working to elevate EC across the region using proprietary domains.

Toshimasa Yanagida
After graduating from Hosei University in 1994, joined Barneys Japan Co., Ltd. (operator of Barneys New York). In 1999 joined Yanagida Orimono, a shirt manufacturer founded in 1924. Launched the proprietary domain online shop "ozie" in 2002. Became President in April 2013. Opened a Roppongi Itchome showroom in June 2014. Currently focused on building an omnichannel strategy combining proprietary domain, three EC mall stores, and a showroom to maximize customer satisfaction and business performance.

Morijiro Oda
After three years in real estate sales, joined his parents' business Nagoya Cooking Equipment. As discount and 100-yen shops proliferated, sales declined. Opened on Rakuten Ichiba in 2001. In 2003 pioneered "online sales of commercial refrigerators" in Japan; by 2004 had grown the product lineup to 80,000 items in one year using a long-tail strategy. Currently manages 600,000 products across 13 stores. Won the Rakuten Shop of the Year award for the first time in 2014 — 13 years after opening.

Eiji Kishimoto
A well-known figure in Japanese online retail who started his EC business in 1997 during the dawn of internet shopping — and is still active today. Since 2000 has served as headmaster of the "Kochi E-Merchant Training School." Since 2009 has been a lecturer at Doshisha University Graduate School of Social Policy Science. Author of "Road to Success as an Online Merchant" (Shoeisha) and other books. His work is not consulting but the full cycle of "creating > sourcing > selling" products — a true solo internet merchant who handles every aspect of the business himself.

Fusako Muromizu
Specializes in selling soundproofing products and acoustic building materials for individual customers. Currently operates from Fukuoka and Tokyo. Decided to start a business at age 25 to repay debt while working as a homemaker. Survived the threat of company bankruptcy during the construction industry downturn through Yahoo! Auction sales. Rebuilt the business by focusing relentlessly on the company's strengths — emphasizing niche soundproofing work that large companies avoid. Provides tailored soundproofing advice and custom products to each customer. Aims to become No. 1 in Japan and the world in soundproofing.
